Kamaljit [Kam] Sandhu

After graduating from the University of Nottingham, Kam Sandhu started her career in Local Government before moving to the Voluntary Sector as a Senior Manager, developing advice services across the Region. Kam has always been committed to public service and started her non-executive career at an early age as Chair of a women’s refuge.

In 2004 Kam completed her Master’s degree and since that time has been a freelance consultant in the criminal justice sector maintaining a portfolio career of non-executive, consultancy and assessment roles. These have included governance roles in Policing and Probation, consultancy roles in NHS recruitment and DWP standards and as an Associate Assessor with the College of Policing.

In addition to this role with the GDC Kam is an Independent Chair of Domestic Homicide Reviews.
