Clive Chalk

Clive Chalk is a former police officer who until taking retirement spent 30 years with the Metropolitan Police Service. He undertook a variety of roles serving numerous diverse boroughs including, Brent, Hounslow and Richmond. He retired as the Borough Commander for Richmond upon Thames in 2013. He now undertakes a number of roles for various organisations including the GDC, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Ministry of Justice and the NHS. He is currently a lay chair for the NMC Fitness to Practice Committee. The primary purpose of the committee is to ensure patient and public safety and to uphold the high standards of the profession. He has also been selected as a lay person for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) performing a similar role for the JCIO where he supports the Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice in their joint responsibility for judicial discipline. He is also a Governing Board member for Hounslow's Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) where he is primarily accountable for leading on patient and public engagement.  This involves building strong relationships with community groups and individuals in the local area, as well as mentoring a team within the CCG.
