Lynn Chalinder

Lynn began her dental career in the early nineties when she qualified as a Dental Nurse. In 1994 she attained a Diploma in Dental Hygiene at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. During her career she has worked in a vast number of settings including private and NHS practice (corporate and independent) as well as a Specialist Dental Centre and a Dental Hospital. Currently Lynn works as a Hygienist and Perio Programme Lead at a practice in Cornwall as well as being a Clinical Supervisor at the Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Lynn serves on the Equality SAT of the dental school and has served as a pastoral tutor. In 2014 she became a parent governor of a local grammar school and now serves as the SEN appointed governor on the team. She also volunteers with local homeless charities. Lynn is a member of the BSP and is currently in post as the secretary of her local BSDHT group where she also previously held the post of treasurer of the group.
