Sarah Rauf

Sarah qualified as a dental nurse in 1987 and then as a dental technician in 1990 and went on to complete her HNC dental technology in 1993, working in the prosthetics laboratory as a dental technician at Bristol Dental Hospital between 1991 and 2002. Sarah then went on to become a joint dental practice owner and practice manager from 2006 to 2010. Between 2011 and 2014 she became part of a small dental team that provided domiciliary dentistry within an NHS secure psychiatric unit,  she also worked as a freelance dental nurse within NHS and private practices in this period of time. After completing a teaching qualification Sarah worked  at Bristol Dental Hospital in the Clinical Skills Laboratory from 2014 to 2016 and then as an Associate Tutor in Dental Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2015 to 2018. Sarah was appointed as a Magistrate for the Bristol Bench in 2017. In 2018 she was appointed as a GDC Education Associate and then as The Chief External Examiner for the National Exam Board for Dental Nurses, in December 2019.Alongside these roles Sarah currently works on the bank as a Serious Incident Investigator for Gloucestershire Health and Care Foundation Trust and is currently studying for a Dental Law and Ethics MSc at Bedfordshire University.
